We opened the Service Dog Training and Rehabilitation Center, Cynthia’s Hill, in May 2009.
We created a training facility with five training rooms for physically challenged individuals, a kennel for a maximum of 25 dogs, and a multipurpose hall. This is the first-ever training center in Japan designed especially for service dogs. We’ve designed it to create a homely atmosphere, so that both dogs and people can feel comfortable in the environment.
We received immense support from JKA, Aichi Pref., Nagoya City, Mie Pref., Gifu Pref., Shizuoka Pref. and other organizations in building this center.
Cynthia climbed a small hill, as she helped establish the Service Dog Law for the Physically Disabled. To remember her achievements, we have located our facility on top of a small hill, where we will continue to pursue Cynthia’s dreams, promote service dogs, bring happiness to physically challenged individuals and to create a society kind to both humans and animals.
